This book sparks joy。 I genuinely mean it。 This is one of the best books you can gift to someone to help them through the emotional journey of decluttering their home。 The manga format provides a story narrative that makes it interesting， easily approachable， and compelling to finish。 I could not recommend it more。

Great condensed version of the bookI have the full tone ext， but I never got the time to read it。 It still sparks joy， however， I enjoyed reading this version as I found it to be very readable with adorable graphics。 I would highly recommend watching her show on Netflix as well。

This is a very quick read， but a good reference if you need to revisit the KonMari method。 I have been trying to read all of Kondo's books this month and declutter as I go。 I work full time so it's impossible to take one day to completely clean out everything I've accumulated over the years and fix my work life as well （Joy at Work is the first of Kondo's books that I read）。 I liked the story of the manga and the illustration style。 The main character is just relatable enough to appeal to most p This is a very quick read， but a good reference if you need to revisit the KonMari method。 I have been trying to read all of Kondo's books this month and declutter as I go。 I work full time so it's impossible to take one day to completely clean out everything I've accumulated over the years and fix my work life as well （Joy at Work is the first of Kondo's books that I read）。 I liked the story of the manga and the illustration style。 The main character is just relatable enough to appeal to most people。 I have a hard time getting rid of sentimental items， so an entire chapter dedicated to the main character getting rid of stuff from old lovers was a nice addition。I think this is a much more accessible read than the original book。 It would be great for a teen or a person who hates reading but wants to learn how to tidy。 The main points from the original book are all there， sneakily hidden in the dialogue between the characters。 I still will not be taking everything out of my bag every day and putting it back in the next morning。 This is one piece of advice I adamantly object to。 Sorry Marie。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I’ve really enjoyed reading this book and I’ll keep it on my shelf。 The art style is cute and the lessons are told in bite sized ways that are welcoming to grasp。 Let go of your attachment to the past， let go of the fear of the future， and keep what makes you “spark joy”。 I want a bookcase of only books I like。 With the things I keep that doesn’t bring up bittersweetness。I’d recommend this book！

So I haven’t read the original Tidying up book， but I love the way she used manga to make a story and give personality to the process。 Way better of a bunch of dos and don’t pages。 While I don’t agree with all her advice （like the stuff about sentimental items） I definitely think there’s a lot to learn and a person can pick what suits there life style best。 Totally a book at want to buy now since I got it from the library to use in the future。
